Children cannot be successful in school if they’re sick, hungry or worried about other basic needs. The Foundation—a non profit children’s organization—exists to ensure that basic needs for Vancouver kids are met—from immunizations to hygiene items. Thanks to the generous donations and support of the community, we’re able to partner with other community resources to meet the basic physical and mental health needs of students in the Vancouver School District.
In addition to providing for basic needs, the Foundation’s donor-based programs offer staff enrichment grants, learning activities and more. Our annual Operation Fairy Godmother event pairs low–cost, donated dresses with girls who might otherwise not be able to afford them. Our Lunch Buddy program matches adult community members with youngsters who need a positive role model in their life.
The work we do would not be possible without the generous contributions and support of the community. We rely on our fall Give Kids a Hand pledge drive, spring annual luncheon and other fundraising efforts to make this happen.
We know there are many local non profit organizations that focus their efforts on kids. We focus directly on the needs of students, classrooms and schools. To help support any of our programs, please donate here or contact us.
